Our company was reeling with loss for the last few years. This led the management to bring out some incentives for the employees for increasing their productivity. These included the employee service awards, the employee of the month award and the employee of the year award. All these awards were meant to turnaround the sales and profit of the company.

It is beyond doubt that valued employees must be recognized for their good performance. This could be achieved by acknowledging the performance of the employees with awards so that they feel appreciated. The awards will act to motivate the future performance of the employees that would result in the company’s success. The employee of the month award is in recognition to some exemplary work by some employee that he or she does in the month. The employee of the year is selected when any employee does some exemplary work in the department and it is taken after considering the work done in the whole year.
